The rules, and how they are applied

This page describes how Kliprush works for the people who use it: what happens when you post, when someone reports, when you earn. It is a faithful description of what the software does.

The full contractual terms have not been published yet. Until they are, the rules described on this page apply.

Who can sign up

Kliprush is for people who are at least 14 years old. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up; it does not appear on your profile. People aged 14 to 17 get extra protections that cannot be turned off: they only receive direct messages from people they follow, cannot use nearby features, do not see profile-based ads and do not receive payments, which are for adults only.

Posts go live right away

An uploaded video goes online as soon as processing finishes. There is no approval queue: no one watches it before it goes out. Only if the automatic check finds it clearly explicit does the video wait until a person reviews it: you'll see this noted in «My videos».

The community reports, a person decides

Anyone can report a video, once per video, choosing one of these reasons: spam or scam, harassment, hate, violence, sexual content, suspected child sexual exploitation, self-harm, illegal activity, copyright infringement, audio copyright, other. A report on its own hides nothing: if it did, a small coordinated group could make any content disappear. A person has to look and decide.

Whoever removes a video must write down the reason, and you can read it in your area. A wrong removal can be reversed: the video is not deleted.

Suspensions

On the third removal the account is suspended for seven days, on the fourth for thirty, and from the fifth on indefinitely. Only removals decided by a person count, not reports received. If a video is put back online because its removal was wrong, the suspension is automatically recalculated on the remaining removals.

A suspended account cannot log in and its videos are no longer shown. Nothing is deleted: not the account, not the videos, not the earnings already accrued.

Earnings

A fixed share of ad revenue, once actually collected, goes to the people who use Kliprush. The percentages are calculated on the full amount collected: no fee is taken off first.

The viewers' share rewards people, not accounts: until you verify your identity, your share stays provisional. Several accounts belonging to the same person are not worth more.

The balance closes every month. You can cash out from 25 dollars accrued, with a confirmed email: below that threshold the amount isn't lost, it carries over to the following months.

Since the shares are fixed, anyone who inflates their numbers takes money from other users, not from the platform. That's why fake views — watching your own videos, claiming more time than was actually spent — are left out of the calculation.

Gifts and creator subscriptions

Coming soon. They will be separate from ad revenue: 80% will go to the creator, 20% to Kliprush. If you pay in the app, the price will include Apple's or Google's fee, so the creator receives the same amount as a purchase on the website. Live streams will be for adults only.

How we count views

Several replays of the same video by the same person on the same day count as one view. Views that are too short don't count, nor do views of your own videos by you, nor views the automatic checks find impossible for a person. The checks run every day, so today's numbers may still change; the exact thresholds of these checks are not public, so they aren't easy to get around.

Earnings are calculated only on valid views in which an ad was shown; the monthly balance closes at the start of the following month. The number under videos on a profile is something else: it counts every play longer than 3 seconds, once a day per person, even without an account, and does not count toward earnings.

What you upload stays yours

Your videos stay yours. You can delete them whenever you like from the My videos page: they disappear from public view immediately and the files are deleted after seven days, during which you can restore them.
